Magnesia Zircon Brick is an alkaline refractory product. Magnesia zircon brick is made of high-purity fused magnesia and synthetic magnesium zirconium sand. Magnesia zircon bricks are formed by high pressure molding and high-temperature sintering. In the microstructure, the main mineral phase is periclase and magnesium. Olivine and oblique zircon have excellent corrosion resistance to alkali metals, oxides and sulfides. Magnesium and Zirconium Bonding Method
1.Direct addition method
According to the magnesium zirconium refractory bricks ratio and Mgo-Zro2 bricks purity requirements of the product, select the appropriate material from the industrial requirements Zro2, oblique zircon, desiliconized zirconium, zircon and other zirconium-containing raw materials. Join directly.
2.Pre-synthesis method
Mgo-Zro2 sand is produced by electrofusion or sintering method, and then added to the magnesium brick ingredients in a certain proportion.
3.Surface coating method
The surface of the magnesia particles is coated with a refractory material mainly composed of Zro2, a uniform thin layer of Zro2 is formed on the surface of each particle.
Advantages of Mgo and Zro2 combination
1. Compared with pure Mgo material, the addition of Zro2 is beneficial to sintering, the magnesium zirconium fire brick can be fired at a correspondingly lower temperature.
2. At high temperature, Mgo is limitedly solidified into the Zro2 lattice, which stabilizes Zro2.
3. With the increase of Zro2 addition, the physical properties of Mgo-Zro2 products have the following changes
*Increased bulk density
*Reduced porosity
*Increased temperature and high temperature strength
Why Can Magnesia Zircon Bricks Show High Temperature Resistance
1. Introducing Zro2, the amount of grain boundary impurities is relatively reduced, thereby increasing the softening temperature of the grain boundary and the temperature at which plastic deformation occurs under stress.
2. Mgo and Zro2 have different properties, such as on-line expansion coefficient and elastic modulus, the disappearance of residual internal stress, the bridging of microcracks play a strengthening role of two-phase composite.
3. Zro2 addition has a certain improvement effect on the thermal shock resistance of Mgo materials, increases with the increase of Zro2 content.
4. Add Zro2 to reduce the coefficient of thermal expansion of the material.
